700 students from 45 San Mateo County schools will exhibit outstanding artwork during Art in Action’s 9^th Annual Summer Art show June 5 - July 31, 2010 in seven different public libraries. Art in Action marks the opening of the show by hosting artist receptions in honor of the student artists and their families at each library. See below for dates, locations, and participating schools. Everyone is welcome to attend and celebrate the artistic talents of students within our communities.

The Art in Action visual arts program inspires K-12 students to get excited about learning when they meet the great masters and create their own masterpieces. The program supports creativity and develops problem solving and critical thinking skills. Art in Action was founded in 1982 and is a nonprofit organization, which fosters the educational development and creativity of children across America through innovative visual arts programs and communities.
