Art in Action's Masterpiece-based "Wild World of Animals" Summer Art Camp 2009

Art in Action’s summer ARTcamp takes place weekly from June 22 to July 31 in many Bay Area locations, including Burlingame, Campbell, Foster City, Los Altos, Menlo Park, Redwood City, San Carlos, San Mateo, and Sunnyvale .

Art in Action's ARTcamps are weeklong summer art classes held for small groups of children ages 5-9 in an exciting, nurturing environment. This year, children will explore the "Wild World of Animals" from puppies, fish, lizards, to bugs. Children will create masterpieces inspired by Matisse, Klee, and Gauguin. Projects include 3-D animal sculptures, nature weavings, fish prints, birdhouses, "Save the Animals" bumper stickers, and more. Children will design an animal sketchbook and a pet portfolio reusable bag. Learning about endangered animals and going green is a camp theme. More information and registration at http://artinaction.org/artcamp/index.html

Art in Action is passionate about bringing art into the lives of children. We empower teachers and parents to teach art in elementary and middle schools. More than 24,000 children are taught the Art in Action masterpiece-based art lessons each year in nearly 100 San Francisco Bay Area schools. Art in Action was founded in 1982 and is a nonprofit organization. Read more about us at www.artinaction.org.
