Art in Action, a leading provider of visual arts education programs, has been awarded a $12,500 grant from The Hurlbut-Johnson Fund, an advised fund of Silicon Valley Community Foundation. This grant will enable Art in Action to bring its K-8 programs to more Title 1 elementary schools.

It is due largely to ongoing supporters such as The Hurlbut-Johnson Fund that Art in Action has been able to achieve its mission of bringing quality visual arts programs to children. As a result of this grant, more children will learn about great artists and will create their own works of art inspired by these artists. The grant will help Art in Action bring learning to life.

The Art in Action Program fosters creativity and develops problem solving and critical thinking skills. Art in Action inspires children to get excited about learning when they meet the great masters and create their own masterpieces. Art in Action was founded in 1982 and is a nonprofit organization.
