Art in Action Engages the Younger Generation during the Stanford ER 5K Run & Community Day Event
Art in Action hosts creative hands-on art projects for children while their parents run/walk in the timed 5k Stanford ER run benefit on Saturday, November 22 at 9.00 am rain or shine.
“We are delighted to be part of Stanford Emergency Department by creatively engaging the children while their parents run for a good cause, ”says Judy Sleeth, Executive Director of Art in Action. “We offer the children a choice of many different art projects, such as decorating a neon knapsack; sculpting a clay animal or wire figures; designing a mask or personalized T-shirt.”
The Art in Action Creative Kids Corner at the Stanford 5k run and community day is for children age 2-12 and is part of a safe and supervised kids’ center with music, snacks, free gifts, prize drawing, mini run, and art projects led by Art in Action instructors.
