Art in Action enriches lives through art. 81 schools now offer Art in Action in 948 classrooms. Each year Art in Action trains participating schools' teachers, docents, and volunteers to teach the curriculum to more than 21,000 students in the Bay Area and beyond. In 2007, more than 800 children attended summer ARTcamp, and each year local libraries display over 3,000 works of student art.

Art in Action enriches children’s education through innovative visual arts programs.
Program
Since 1982, Art in Action’s sequential art programs have enhanced K-8 classroom education by integrating creativity, cultural awareness and self-expression. Art in Action’s standards-based curriculum teaches art appreciation, art history and art skills. The dynamic program includes teacher training, online resources and art materials.

Hands-on training sessions available from September 8th through October 6th. Seating is limited to 40 people each day. Training will introduce docents and teachers to the masterpieces, themes, and projects covered in various program levels.
